Act Now To Reject Con Con

by Chuck Baldwin
December 16, 2008

My good friend, Tom DeWeese, chairman of the American Policy Center, recently issued an urgent alert regarding a revived effort to assemble a modern Constitutional Convention. Mind you, the United States has not assembled such a Convention since 1787, when a Constitutional Convention replaced the Articles of Confederation with the U.S. Constitution. Fortunately, the delegates to the Con Con of 1787 were composed of freedom-loving patriots who had just fought a bloody war for independence and were in no mind to reenact tyranny upon the land they had just fought to liberate. However, can one imagine what would happen if the current bunch of politically correct leftists in Washington, D.C., were to be granted the power to rewrite our Constitution? It would be the end of the United States of America, and that is no hyperbole.

The modern Con Con effort began back in the 1970s. Since then, 32 states have issued the call. The total number of states that are required to enact the Con Con is 34. Simple math reveals that we are only two states short of this disaster. As word of this potential calamity began to surface, the effort stalled with the total states issuing the call stuck at 32. With the election of Barack Obama, however, supporters of a Con Con have been emboldened and are now trying to resurrect the momentum. The state that is currently in the crosshairs appears to be Ohio.

States that have already approved a Con Con include Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming. A few of these states have since seen the error of their ways and have voted to rescind their approvals. This fact, alone, should be enough to kill the push for another Con Con, but don't expect the powers that be to see it that way. Therefore, it seems that if Ohio approves the Con Con, only one more state would be required, and upon the call of that 34th state, a Con Con would be seated. And, no doubt, state number 34 is already sitting quietly, but excitedly, in the wings, ready to act with "lightning speed" to seal the deal.

Lest anyone take this lightly or think that a Constitutional Convention is no big deal, DeWeese properly warned, "In truth no restrictive language from any state can legally limit the scope or outcome of a [Constitutional] Convention! Once a Convention is called Congress determines how the delegates to the Convention are chosen. Once chosen, those Convention delegates possess more power than the U.S. Congress itself."

DeWeese is right. If called, a modern Constitutional Convention could declare the U.S. Constitution to be null and void, and could completely rewrite the document. For example, former U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice Warren Burger once declared, "There is no effective way to limit or muzzle the actions of a Constitutional Convention. The Convention could make its own rules and set its own agenda."

Given the fact that Washington, D.C., is comprised mostly of Big-Government liberals and neocons, it is almost certain that the founders' Constitution--which was founded on the principles of Natural Law that protects individual liberty--would be replaced with some sort of "collective rights" document protecting an ambiguous "common good." At that point, there is no more United States of America. There would be no more Bill of Rights protecting individuals from governmental abuse and overreach. Furthermore, the principles of Natural Law would be forever removed as a basis of all our nation's laws and statutes. The nation that had been bequeathed to us by our forebears would be gone forever.

Yes, it is that bad, and, yes, it is that close to happening!

In the short term, every freedom-loving American must do everything they can RIGHT NOW to prevent this from happening. Since the state of Ohio is currently in the crosshairs, it would behoove us to contact every person we know in Ohio and do whatever it takes to motivate them to be sure to let their Ohio legislators know how dangerous this is. Residents and citizens of Ohio need to make sure the Ohio legislature rejects the call for a Constitutional Convention. By the same token, it would be wise for all of us who live in states that have not yet ratified the call for a Con Con to contact our state legislators to make sure that they understand the issue, and that they will do everything in their power to resist any attempt to call for a Constitutional Convention.

For more information on the status of a new Con Con and how to fight it, go to the American Policy Center web site at
http://www.americanpolicy.org:80/sledgehammer/victory.htm

In the longer term, there is another question that must be addressed. What will we do if and when a modern Constitutional Convention is called and our U.S. Constitution is declared null and void, with a completely new constitution enacted? Which states will reject the new constitution? Which states will declare their independence from any such new union? Or, will they all surrender their state constitutions and go along with this Twenty-First Century New World Order--a New World Order that will doubtless incorporate some form of North American Community or Union?

It might be a very good idea to immediately begin identifying those states that would unequivocally reject any new union, and would be willing to declare their independence from whatever government would evolve from a modern Constitutional Convention. Yes, I am saying it: we may need to resurrect the original Thirteen Colonies, except they would probably not number thirteen, and, in all likelihood, they would not be located on the East Coast.

I am convinced that there are still millions of Americans who are sick and tired of surrendering their liberties to Big-Government sycophants in both the Democrat and Republican parties, and that if a Constitutional Convention is called--and our U.S. Constitution is wiped away or rewritten--are ready and willing to declare their independence all over again. So, I issue the call: where are the new Thirteen Colonies?

We better start looking now, because there will come a point when the time for looking for good ground is over and the time to stand our ground will be upon us.

USDA Memo Mandates NAIS Premises Registration
But Agency and Big Ag Still Deny Their Plans

As part of the USDA's ongoing pattern of misleading tactics, the agency and industry organizations are backing away from an internal USDA memo that outlines how to force registration of real estate holding livestock, horses, or poultry under USDA's National Animal Identification System (NAIS).  The USDA memo, issued on September 22, 2008, dictates the procedure by which state agencies shall register animal owners' properties despite the owners' objections, if the owners refuse to voluntarily register.

"The memo not only calls for mandatory registrations, but for branding individuals as 'dissenters,'" notes Col. (Ret.) Randy Givens, a founder of the Liberty Ark Coalition (LAC), an alliance formed to fight NAIS.  "The USDA's document states that people who refuse to 'voluntarily' register their property will not only be involuntarily assigned a registration number, but will also be assigned a special code that designates their refusal to 'volunteer.'"

Under NAIS, the premises registrations are gathered into a massive national database. Individual animals will each be tagged, using mostly microchip devices, and animal owners, even those with pets, will have to report to the government whenever they buy or sell animals, or animals die, or they take the animal off their property for events such as trail rides or shows.   Most independent farmers and pet owners of livestock or horses have objected to the extensive costs and government intrusion of the system.   Industrial agriculture operations, which will be able to avoid individual tagging by using group identification, support NAIS.

USDA's 2005 plan for NAIS called for it to become mandatory by 2009.  However, in response to widespread protests by animal owners, USDA announced in 2007 that the program would be "voluntary at the federal level."  That change in strategy moved implementation of the mandatory NAIS down to the states, allowing USDA to disclaim responsibility.  Since then, many states have been using federal guidelines and funding, under Cooperative Agreements, to implement mandatory or coercive NAIS programs.

Given USDA's past actions in pushing NAIS despite objections, the memo was an unwelcome, but not surprising, development to animal owners and activists.  "It's been clear to us for some time that USDA planned to use existing disease programs to register citizens' property," stated Karin Bergener, a horse owner and  Steering Committee member of the LAC.  According to Bergener, "At an industry conference last year, several state agriculture officials discussed their plans to force premises registrations and conversion to NAIS-compliant microchip tags. The September USDA memo just puts this plan into writing."

After two groups, the LAC and the Farm and Ranch Freedom Alliance (FARFA), made the memo public on November 1, concerned animal owners promptly started calling their state departments of agriculture to inquire what it meant.  In response, USDA and pro-NAIS industry organizations such as the American Horse Council (AHC) have launched a campaign to re-cast the memo.

"This is the usual response; they are denying the plain meaning of the memo, " says Judith McGeary, Executive Director of FARFA and herself a small farmer.  "In a recent letter, AHC declared that anti-NAIS activists did not understand the memo and that the memo was discussing plans for some unspecified time in the future," says McGeary.  "But the memo was issued by the agency, written in the present tense, with no caveats or limitations."

Some USDA regional officials have stated that they haven't even read the memo.  Some state agriculture officials have said they do not plan to enforce it, while one state agency has said it will be enforced only for programs paid for by the USDA.  McGeary questions, "What would they have done if activists hadn't publicized the memo?  The agencies' pattern is to push NAIS behind closed doors, and to try to discredit any opposition by disclaiming the agencies' own written plans once revealed.  The agencies and businesses that will profit from NAIS are determined to push the program through by whatever means they can find.  It's past time for Congress and State Legislatures to rein in these rogue agencies."

Downsize DC asks "Should You Pay Auto Workers to Do Nothing?"

Date: Monday, November 17, 2008, 1:36 PM

D o w n s i z e r - D i s p a t c h

Quote of the Day: "The Constitution poses no serious threat to our form of government." -- Joseph Sobran

Subject: Should you pay autoworkers to do nothing?

If the history of the current era is ever written properly it may be called "The Age of the Government Sponsored Scam." The examples are piling up. Here's the latest . . .

Did you know that GM and other automakers with UAW contracts have to pay many of their employees to do nothing! It's called a Job Bank. Laid-off workers at Ford, GM, and Chrysler are paid 90% of their previous wages to sit in a room at the factory doing nothing!

Think of what this will mean if the politicians pass a bill to bailout GM, or Chrysler, or Ford. When you go to work you'll be laboring part of the day to pay some members of the United Auto Workers union to sit and produce nothing.

Doesn't that sound like a scam to you, and wouldn't a bailout represent government sponsorship of this scam?

Do you think, perhaps, the Detroit automakers might not need a bailout if they didn't sign such stupid contracts with the UAW union?

Do you think, perhaps, that no bailout should even be considered as long as such contracts are in place?

Do you think, perhaps, that the Democrats may ignore this problem unless they hear outrage about it from their constituents?

If you have Democratic representatives you may want to ponder whether they represent the unions, or you. Shouldn't you ask them where their loyalties lie?

Or, if you have Republican representatives, do you think they might make an issue of this if you inform them of it?

And what about your friends, families, and neighbors? Shouldn't they hear about this too?

Fortunately, the UAW contracts with the Detroit automakers are up for re-negotiation right now.

This is the ideal time to shout this story far and wide. Either . . .

* The UAW will have to give-up their do-nothing Job Banks, and perhaps save the Detroit automakers without the need for a bailout, or . . .

* The proposed bailout will fail in Congress if the Job Banks are still in place

Please do four things . . .

* Forward this message to your friends

* Open a Digg account and Digg this message on our blog, so more people will see it

* Use our "No Bailouts" campaign to tell Congress that the UAW Job Banks provision makes the idea of a tax-funded bailout completely intolerable

* Use your personal comments to ask Democratic representatives whether they represent you, or the unions, and ask Republican representatives to make a major issue of this

A Wasted Vote

A Wasted Vote
by Chuck Baldwin
October 10, 2008

When asked why they will not vote for a third party candidate, many people will respond by saying something like, "He cannot win." Or, "I don't want to waste my vote." It is true: America has not elected a third party candidate since 1860. Does that automatically mean, however, that every vote cast for one of the two major party candidates is not a wasted vote? I don't think so.

In the first place, a wasted vote is a vote for someone you know does not represent your own beliefs and principles. A wasted vote is a vote for someone you know will not lead the country in the way it should go. A wasted vote is a vote for the "lesser of two evils." Or, in the case of John McCain and Barack Obama, what we have is a choice between the "evil of two lessers."

Albert Einstein is credited with saying that insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting a different result. For years now, Republicans and Democrats have been leading the country in the same basic direction: toward bigger and bigger government; more and more socialism, globalism, corporatism, and foreign interventionism; and the dismantling of constitutional liberties. Yet, voters continue to think that they are voting for "change" when they vote for a Republican or Democrat. This is truly insane!

Take a look at the recent $700 billion Wall Street bailout: both John McCain and Barack Obama endorsed and lobbied for it. Both McCain and Obama will continue to bail out these international banksters on the backs of the American taxpayers. Both McCain and Obama support giving illegal aliens amnesty and a path to citizenship. In the debate this past Tuesday night, both McCain and Obama expressed support for sending U.S. forces around the world for "peacekeeping" purposes. They also expressed support for sending combat forces against foreign countries even if those countries do not pose a threat to the United States. Neither Obama nor McCain will do anything to stem the tide of a burgeoning police state or a mushrooming New World Order. Both Obama and McCain support NAFTA and similar "free trade" deals. Neither candidate will do anything to rid America of the Federal Reserve, or work to eliminate the personal income tax, or disband the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Both Obama and McCain support the United Nations. So, pray tell, how is a vote for either McCain or Obama not a wasted vote?

But, back to the "he cannot win" argument: to vote for John McCain is to vote for a man who cannot win. Yes, I am saying it here and now: John McCain cannot win this election. The handwriting is on the wall. The Fat Lady is singing. It is all over. Finished. John McCain cannot win.

With only three weeks before the election, Barack Obama is pulling away. McCain has already pulled his campaign out of Michigan. In other key battleground states, McCain is slipping fast. He was ahead in Missouri; now it is a toss-up or leaning to Obama. A couple of weeks ago, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Florida were all leaning towards McCain, or at least toss-up states. Now, they are all leaning to Obama. Even the longtime GOP bellwether state of Indiana is moving toward Obama. In addition, new voter registrations are at an all-time high, and few of them are registering as Republicans. In fact, the Republican Party now claims only around 25% of the electorate, and Independents are increasingly leaning toward Obama.

Ladies and gentlemen, Barack Obama is headed for an electoral landslide victory over John McCain. John McCain can no more beat Barack Obama than Bob Dole could beat Bill Clinton.

I ask, therefore, Are not conservatives and Christians who vote for John McCain guilty of the same thing that they accuse people who vote for third party candidates of doing? Are they not voting for someone who cannot win? Indeed, they are. In fact, conservatives and Christians who vote for John McCain are not only voting for a man who cannot win, they are voting for a man who does not share their own beliefs and principles. If this is not insanity, nothing is!

So, why not (for once in your life, perhaps) cast a vote purely for principle! Vote for someone who is truly pro-life. Someone who would quickly secure our nation's borders, and end the invasion of our country by illegal aliens. Someone who would, on his first day in office, release Border Patrol agents Ramos and Compean and fire U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton. Someone who would immediately, upon assuming office, begin leading the charge to dismantle the Federal Reserve, overturn the 16th Amendment, expunge the IRS, and return America to sound money principles. Someone who would get the US out of the UN. Someone who would stop spending billions and trillions of dollars for foreign aid. Someone who would prosecute the Wall Street bankers who defrauded the American people out of billions of dollars. Someone who would work to repeal NAFTA, CAFTA, GATT, the WTO, and stop the NAFTA superhighway. Someone who would say a resounding "No" to the New World Order. Someone who would stop using our brave men and women in uniform as global cops for the United Nations. Someone who would stop America's global adventurism and interventionism. Someone who would steadfastly support and defend the right of the people to keep and bear arms.

"Who is this person?" you ask. Go here to find out:

A Southwest Missouri group has officially launched a nationwide political effort called the "Fearless Voter: The Courage of Liberty." Southwest Missouri has been a conservative bellwether for the Republican Party for decades. It is also known for being the buckle of the Bible belt in the heart of America.

The founder of "Fearless Voter" is Lisa Leach. Lisa is a recent active, but now former, member of the conservative Missouri Republican Assembly. She came up with the idea in June as she began to see that there is something terribly wrong going on within the Republican Party and realized it was also as problematic within the Democratic Party.

The official launch was scheduled to begin just after the Republican National Convention was held but ended up being almost simultaneous with Congressman Ron Paul's press conference today announcing nearly the exact idea.

The mission: Encourage American citizens to show up to the polls and vote our Constitution in this Presidential Election in November. By providing resources for review about the founding documents, the electoral college process, how write-in votes work, what is a Constitution-based Party versus an unconstitutionally-based Party, and that by voting our Constitution and our consciences we are truly the only votes that count.

It is the task of every "Fearless Voter" to encourage other good-willed Americans who are fearful or scared of the "what if" consequences to take courage and stand up in the Home of the Brave and to let them know they are not alone - there are other good-willed people in the Land of the Free that are fearlessly doing likewise.

"Fearless Voters" are Americans. We are the Courage of Liberty personified. We are the American voters who know and understand that the best way for the United States of America to go forward is to go back to our Constitutional foundation.

"Fearless Voters" show up and we cast our ballots for Constitution-based party candidates. We show up and vote because it is our right, it is our responsibility, it is our duty to speak up, to be heard, to be counted.

Our government is and our economy are in shambles. What you don't know is if you're alone or part of something unstoppable.

You are not alone. Join us in taking back the birthright of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness that is ours as Americans.

We are "Fearless Voter": The Courage of Liberty. Counting the Courage of Liberty.

Dwight Yoakam--Try Not to Look So Pretty

O.K., I have to confess that I'm hot for Dwight Yoakam. Yoakam has some of the more interesting country music videos around, and this is no exception.

After all, woman can not live by politics alone--especially as depressing as THIS year has turned out to be.

So, if you like country music, enjoy. If not, bite me.

She's Baaaaaaack

Well, here I am again, after an approximately 6 month hiatus.

During that time, I've said goodbye to a dear friend (hope you are doing well, my perfect, beautiful Sweet Pea,) had my (cringe) 53rd birthday, and rejoined the GOP.

Funny. Hitting age 53 was a bummer. None of my other birthdays have bothered me. I think it's because I am working on getting divorced. Even though I am the one who wants to split, starting over at this age is daunting. Is there life after divorce (several times over) for an old broad like me?! More to the point, what about sex, dating, etc.? I'm not sure I remember how--to act on a date that is.

As for rejoining the GOP, I'm already thinking it was a mistake. I'll go into that in another post, but suffice to say I don't think the current members of the Republican Party want to change. We'll see how long I can last at windmill-tilting.

Missouri GOP Playing Machine Politics with Ron Paul Delegates

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
March 25, 2008

ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA – The Ron Paul campaign has been receiving reports that Missouri GOP rules have been violated in the set-up and execution of several county Republican caucuses. Ron Paul supporters in Missouri have been attending their county caucuses and electing Ron Paul delegates to be seated at the Missouri Republican State Convention. However, there are concerns that many Ron Paul delegates to the Missouri Republican State Convention were disenfranchised and not properly seated.

On Thursday, March 20, campaign field director Debbie Hopper visited the Missouri state GOP headquarters to request a copy of the records needed to obtain the information to file challenges. She was told in front of witnesses that she could not view the report. To obtain the needed information, Ms. Hopper then used the contact information of county chairs listed on the state GOP website. On Saturday, March 22, the webpage containing their contact information had been removed.

The Paul campaign believes that a handful of GOP officials are playing machine politics and breaking their own rules to disenfranchise Paul supporters.

"The Republican party is in trouble and needs more participants in 2008, not less," said campaign manager Lew Moore. "It makes no sense for Missouri party leaders to exclude and marginalize the new activists they badly need to work at every level this fall."

Republican presidential candidate and Texas Congressman Ron Paul's supporters have been highly successful in several Missouri counties. In St. Charles County (suburb of St. Louis), Paul supporters filled 241 of the 274 country Republican delegate slots. In Jackson County (Kansas City), Paul supporters filled 162 of 187 delegate slots. And in Greene County (Springfield), Paul supporters filled 72 of 112 delegate slots.

HOW THE CLINTONS WILL DESTROY JOHN MCCAIN

This article is reprinted with the author's permission. The original article is found at To The Point News.

Written by Dr. Jack Wheeler
Thursday, 31 January 2008

The number of fellow Senators who think John McCain is psychologically unstable is large.  Some will admit it publicly, like Thad Cochran who says, "The thought of his being president sends a cold chill down my spine."

Others relate times when McCain screamed four-letter obscenities right in their faces in the Senate cloak room, like Dick Shelby, Rick Santorum, or Jim Inhofe.  "The man is unhinged," one Senator told me.  "He is frighteningly unfit to be Commander-in-Chief."

That John McCain is clinically nuts is scary enough.  What worries a small group of GOP Senators and Congressmen even more is a deep and dark skeletal secret in McCain's glorified past to which they are privy, and which the Clintons will use to blackmail him.

They have been having discussions with a Russian whom we'll call "T" for Translator.  T's father was the Soviet military intelligence officer who ran the "Hanoi Hilton" prison holding captured Americans during the Vietnam War.  One of those prisoners was John McCain.

The GRU -- Glavnoje Razvedyvatel'noje Upravlenije or Main Intelligence Directorate of the Soviet (now Russian) Armed Forces - operated the entire North Vietnamese prison system holding American prisoners of war.  GRU officers, all of whom were Russians, oversaw the interrogation of every American POW.

The interrogations themselves were conducted by Vietnamese who spoke some English.  After each interrogation session, which could often include torturing the prisoners at the direction of the GRU officers, the Vietnamese interrogator would write a report of the session - in Vietnamese.

These reports had to be translated into Russian.  T, a bright teenager living in the GRU compound in Hanoi, had become fluent in Vietnamese, and ended up translating many of the reports and interrogators' notes.

John McCain, flying his A-4 Skyhawk, was shot down over Hanoi on October 26, 1967.  Badly injured from the ejection, he was beaten and abused by his captors.  In July, 1968, his father, US Navy Admiral J. S. McCain, was made CINCPAC, Commander-in-Chief, Pacific Command, commander of all US military forces in the Vietnam theatre.  Upon learning this, the Vietnamese offered - according to McCain - to release him.

McCain claims he refused, because he demanded all American POWs captured before him be released as well. He thus remained a prisoner when he could have gone home, and was subjected to constant brutal beatings and torture for years:  that is the source of the "war-hero" saga making McCain a greater war-hero than any other American POW.

Yet the offer of release would had to have been approved by the GRU overseers of the North Vietnamese - and T does not recall any such offer being made.  T admits, however, that this took place before McCain was transferred to Hoa Loa prison, nicknamed the "Hanoi Hilton" by the POWs.  T had only direct knowledge of what happened at Hoa Loa, and not the other prisons, where T's father was in charge.

McCain was kept at the Hanoi Hilton from December 1969 until his release, along with all the remaining POWs, in March of 1973.  During this time, T translated all the Vietnamese interrogators' notes and reports regarding John McCain.

According to T, they reveal that McCain had made an "accommodation" with his captors, and in exchange, T's father saw that he was provided with an apartment in Hanoi and the services of two prostitutes.  Upon returning to his prison cell, he would say he had been held in solitary confinement. That may be why so many of his fellow prisoners said later they saw so little of him at Hoa Loa.

The notes and reports written in Vietnamese were sent to Moscow, where T was a now a college student, for T's translation into Russian, then placed into GRU archives.  That's where they stayed until 1991.  Late that year, as the Soviet Union was collapsing, the CIA and the GRU made a deal for a document swap.

All of what it involved, T doesn't know.  What T's father, by now retired but still with substantial contacts within the GRU, did learn (and thus T learned) was that the swap included all of T's translations.

In other words, the CIA has in its possession the notes and reports of John McCain's interrogators at the Hanoi Hilton, in both the original Vietnamese and translated Russian, showing collaboration with his Communist captors.

Allegations of this nature have been made over the years, many by Vietnam veterans.  There is an even an organization, Vietnam Veterans Against McCain.  But they are based on suspicions and circumstantial claims.  There has never been any hard direct evidence.

What T says the CIA has is such evidence.  Its release would destroy McCain.  The threat of its release could force McCain to take a fall, blow the election and lose on purpose.  And just who do you suppose would know what the CIA has and work with them to release it?

Someone who has been a CIA asset since he was recruited by London station chief Cord Meyer while a student at Oxford in 1968?

(Back in the 90s years after he retired,  if Cord drank a little too much Scotch, he would laugh derisively at those conspiratorialists who accused Bill Clinton of being connected with the KGB.

"They all darkly point to Bill's participation in anti-war peace conferences in Stockholm and Oslo, and his trip to Leningrad, Moscow, and Prague while he was at Oxford. ‘Who could have paid for this?', they ask. ‘It had to be the KGB!' they claim." Cord would shake his head. "What rot - we paid for it. We recruited Bill the first week he was at Oxford. Bill's been an asset of The Three Bad Words ever since."  Cord passed on in 2001.)

The small group of Senators and Congressmen who have been briefed by T have been unable to confirm with the CIA any details of its document swap with the GRU beyond an admission that such a swap "may have happened."  They are very nervous about pursuing the matter any further.

The Clintons are not nervous.  They are utterly ruthless, and have buddies at Langley all too happy to help them.

It has been noted many times here in To The Point that while most folks think the CIA is a right-wing outfit, it is not. The CIA has been dominated by left-wing hyper-liberals for years.

The CIA is a left-wing, liberal outfit, and its main job for some time now is not attacking America's enemies but conservatives in general and George W. Bush in particular.  The story is best told by friend, Ken Timmerman in his new book Shadow Warriors.

When the time is right, the Clintons will see to the leaking of the GRU archives on McCain to the media. Bet on it, just as you can bet they'll follow it up with media disclosures of the lady lobbyists in Washington having adulterous affairs with McCain.  (There are at least three of them; I know the name of one but I'm not going to put it in writing.)

Maybe McCain will try to fight back by confirming Hillary's well-known bisexuality and her lesbian affair with her beautiful assistant, Huma Abedin.  Google "Hillary" and "Huma Abedin" and you'll get almost 6,000 hits. Turns out Huma is a Moslem who grew up in Saudi Arabia and is strongly suspected of working for Saudi intelligence.

Or maybe he'll capitulate to Clinton blackmail.  You never can tell what a psychologically unstable guy will do.

And that last point is why - be prepared for this, folks - I would not in any circumstances vote for John McCain, not if either Hillary or Obama were the alternative.  Evil is safer than crazy.  Leftie amateur inexperience is safer than crazy.  So I agree with Ann Coulter who says:

"I'd rather deal with President Hillary than with President McCain. With Hillary, we'll get the same ruinous liberal policies with none of the responsibility."

How in the world can the Republican Party get saddled with a nutcase whack-job who knows nothing about economics, is so anti-capitalist he uses "profit" as a term of derision, has never run a business or had any job outside of government, will raise taxes, is so stupid that he believes "stopping global warming" is worth destroying the American economy, won't drill ANWR, won't appoint strict constructionist justices, won't protect marriage, will give amnesty to 20 million illegal aliens, is beloved by the New York Times, and lives in a delusionary world of vanity and rage?

Rush is right.  A McCain presidency will be the destruction of the Republican Party.  It needs to be rebuilt, not wiped out with the field clear for the fascists of the left to consolidate power and eliminate freedom.

And maybe the only way to rebuild it is in dedicated impassioned opposition to a Clinton White House.  That should be the subject of Ann Coulter's next book.  I've already got the title for her.  Her last book was If Democrats Had Any Brains, They'd Be Republicans.

Ann needs to now write this book:  If Republicans Had Any Brains, They'd Be Republicans.

[A Yogi Berra note. There still is a chance for Romney, the last remaining hope.  If he can win enough delegates on Super Tuesday next week, combined with Huckabee winning Georgia and other southern states, it may still be possible for McCain to end up with only a plurality of delegates, not a majority, at the end of primary season.  An open convention is still possible, during which Republicans could come to their senses. It's not over until it's over.]

John McCain Is A Liberal Gun Grabber

The last thing we need is another liberal neocon in the White House. If the Presidency of George W. Bush proved anything, it proved the hazard of electing phony Republican conservatives. At least one is able to clearly see a liberal for what he or she is when they have a "D" behind their name. But put an "R" behind the name and suddenly their liberal, Big-Government, anti-freedom agenda is barely recognized, which makes a liberal Republican much more dangerous than a liberal Democrat.

Let me say it straight out: a John McCain Presidency would be far worse than a Barack Obama Presidency. With a Democrat in the White House, conservatives and Christians suddenly find their principles and are able to offer resistance. Put a Republican in the Oval Office, however, and those same people become blind, deaf, and dumb to most any principle they profess.

Nowhere is McCain's chicanery and duplicity more jeopardous than in the area of the right to keep and bear arms. On issues relating to the Second Amendment, John McCain is a disaster! For example, the highly respected Gun Owners of America (GOA) rates McCain with a grade of F-. McCain's failing grade is well deserved.

It Happened to England, We Must Stop It Here

The following is a forum post from an a Brit who is a Ron Paul supporter. With her permission, I am reposting it here. Listen up America, before it's too late.

This is Breaking My Heart
by Julia

Anyone round here ever seen something horrible happen and then a few years later see it happening all over again?

That's where I am living just now.

In my lifetime I watched England turn from a great nation to a cowed city state of the European empire. We have no control of our borders, no control of our taxes; no control of our foreign policy - heck, we can't even buy a pound of bananas in our supermarkets any more because Europe says we have to have everything in Kilos.

I have to abide by European employment legislation in my business, I am not allowed to work more than 50 hours a week and I MUST have 4 weeks paid vacation - even though I already have 15 weeks compulsory vacation as an education worker.

I pay 35% of anything I make to the government - then another 8% on top of that - then my company pays another 12.8% on top of that for the joy of employing me - then I pay $2000 a MONTH in local government tax on a very small house - and 17.5% tax on everything I buy - except fuel where I pay almost $12 a gallon of which over 80% is tax.

The government or the police watch everything I do via CCTV, my financial records are centralized and getting access to the info they hold on me costs me $20 and months of letters and calls to find out - if it ever arrives.

That's my nightmare and you don't have to care about it. But people, if you don't get your fingers out of your ears, eyes, mouths and any other orifice you might have them stuck in it will only take you 5 or 10 years to end up in the same pile of manure I'm sitting in right now.

I love America - always have - but y'all are not making yourselves real popular around the world right now. And the ONLY candidate in this election who could do a single thing to get you out of it is Ron Paul.

I know what he has said about priorities; I know what the media has done to you; I know people are throwing in the towel on you and things are not looking their best.

But the stakes are too high to give up without one hell of a fight. It's time to get a long line of people to hold up the flag and keep it flying. Go back and listen to the story of the Star Spangled Banner again and start piling up the bodies if you have to (figuratively speaking!) But you have to fight now to save your nation.

You let it go now and it will be gone forever.

Come on, America. Save yourselves - and save me from watching another once great, brave nation go down the pan.

I don't have many answers for you. I'm not a politician. Just think of me as a cheerleader from England who loves what you've got and can't stand the pain of watching it be stolen from you by a small group of lousy politicians and bankers who want to rule the world.

Libertarians Help GOP Mourn

Libertarian Party sends condolences to the Republican National Committee

With the rise of John McCain, LP offers sympathy for the death of small-government values within the GOP

Washington, D.C. - Following a solid McCain victory in the Super Tuesday primaries, the Libertarian Party has sent Republican headquarters a funeral wreath marking the death of limited-government values within the Republican Party.  The wreath was hand-delivered to the D.C. offices of the Republican National Committee.  "We simply felt the need to express our heartfelt sympathy for the Republican Party as they undergo this tough time within their party," says Libertarian Party National Media Coordinator Andrew Davis, who delivered the wreath.

"Given that it has become readily apparent that Senator McCain will soon be the presidential nominee for the Republican Party," reads a card that accompanied the wreath addressed to RNC Chairman Mike Duncan, "we, the staff of the Libertarian National Committee, send our condolences to you upon the death of small-government principles within the GOP."

The note continues:

Libertarians encourage competition within both the free-market and politics. Unfortunately, with the rise of John McCain and the big-spending practices of the Bush administration, the two-party system has emerged as representing only one philosophy - big-government liberalism.

With your loss, the Libertarian Party will continue to move forward to represent those American patriots who still believe in smaller government, lower taxes and more individual freedom.

"McCain's Super Tuesday win marks the death of limited government values within the Republican Party, which had struggled with its principles throughout the Bush administration," says Shane Cory, executive director of the Libertarian Party. "It is a day of mourning for the few remaining small-government Republicans."

Huckabee Scandal Brewing?

Check it out.

Mitt Romney Cares

Radio talker Mark Larson goes a round with Mitt Romney. In typical Mitt style,  Romney is all done with the conversation when he feels like he's getting pressed too hard.

Listen to Mitt demonstrate his deep concern for the little people who struggle to pay their income taxes. Mitt's got his--piss on you.

Straight from Mitt's mouth, you're going to see the government expand.

More of Mitt's greatest hits. In this one, Mitt blows off this guy's question concerning medical marijuana. You can see the concern for the little people just oozing from Mitt.

Mitt loves all living things. Who else would make sure that their dog got plenty of fresh air by leaving the dog on the roof of the car for a 12 hour trip?

The Man Behind The Curtain

by Chuck Baldwin
January 25, 2008

"Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!" is the famous quote from the wizard in the movie classic, The Wizard Of Oz. However, when it comes to national and international affairs, many, if not most, Americans seem to have taken the mythical wizard's advice. They seem oblivious to the man behind the curtain. And make no mistake about it: there is a man (or group of men) behind the curtain.

The American people seem mesmerized by the smoke and mirrors of the political and media elite. For the most part, the people of this country seem totally unaware that while the global elite who run this country passionately promote the "war on terrorism," those same elite are also violently attacking the liberties of the heartland. While they create a gargantuan Department of Homeland Security for our "protection," they are using that very same department to eviscerate the constitutional protections of our republic. While they insist that we are dependent upon oil from Saudi Arabia, they are ignoring giant oil and natural gas discoveries located under the frozen tundra of our 49th State (and other places).  The elite have brilliantly turned the drumbeats of war against Islamofascism into a giant smokescreen to hide their insidious plans to wage a different kind of war against the American people.

The war against the American people is waged on a hundred fronts and with a hundred agendas. But one word seems to best describe the heart of the strategy. And that word is FEAR. The problem is, the man behind the curtain has misdirected people's fears.

No Pork, But the Locust is Good

In case you missed it, Mike Huckabee (Republican presidential hopeful) recently said we should, “amend the Constitution so it’s in God’s standards rather than try to change God’s standards so it lines up with some contemporary view of how we treat each other and how we treat the family.”

Are we talking Old Testament or New?

Imagine all the amendments if we were to revert to Leviticus. Firstborn animals, no rare steaks, how to properly clean that leprous mobile home. We’d have to convert to shekels — at this point that might not be a bad idea.

There would be advantages for some.

Federal employees would enjoy even more holidays, only now they would be called festivals and some would last for days on end.

Liberals could certainly get on board with the Year of Jubilee, when all debts would be canceled, land would be returned to the Native Americans, and Halliburton would have to free their corporate slaves.

Progressives could ignore the part about guilt offerings, since surely only conservatives are in need of those. (Libertarians, please make note of the sin offerings.)

Huckabee may have backed into the solution for rising healthcare costs. Instead of doctors, we could go to our local priest or pastor and be dabbed with oil.

Who knows? Huck might be on to something, but this is one Christian who wishes he’d just leave well enough alone.

Hillary Flys Her True Colors

When is the American flag not so American? When it's at a Hillary Clinton rally.

The folks at Ron Paul Forums are buzzing about Hillary's Wiccan/Masonic style flag with upside down stars. The Rumor Mill made sure they caught a screen shot of Clinton's web page before someone at the campaign dummied up.

Satanic_flag Is this the new flag we can expect should Hillary be crowned Druid Queen in November?

Talk Radio, Springfield: Chuck Booms, the Other White Meat

Chuckboomssm Chuck Booms, of Kiley and Booms fame, is a recent addition to KWTO's Morningline. I'd never heard of Booms before, but Jason (Life of Jason) has.

If it weren't for all bitching from callers on the weekends to Morningline, I wouldn't even have known there was a new guy in town. He's causing an insurrection among longtime listeners of that station, seemingly egged along by the remaining old timers at the station.

So what's their beef? Ostensibly, it's his voice, which is unlovely. But if Mark Levin can rocket up the talk radio charts with his voice, it shouldn't be an insurmountable problem for Booms.

No, the real problem is the change in policy. Long-time callers are being banned from calling the weekday show. They can call in on weekends and do, to complain bitterly about the ban. I get the impression that a lot (most) of them have nothing else to do except call KWTO. My heart goes out to them, really it does.

I also completely understand the ban. Most of these banned callers are elderly. Bless their hearts, their halting conversations take a long, leisurely trip, destination nowhere. It's like being seated at a table of  friends who have known each other for 80 years. You're the odd man out because there's a long history there and you are privy to none of it. You have no point of reference. You are left out of the conversation.

Not exactly compelling radio. I'm guessing the ratings verify that. It remains to be seen if Chuck Booms can turn that around. Let's hope, for the sake of Springfield radiophiles, that he does.

*Disclaimer: I'm already favorably inclined toward Booms because, even though a conservative, he has not displayed the usual, knee-jerk dissing of Ron Paul that you hear from right-wing radio talkers. Rather shocking from someone with close ties to Faux News. Kudos Chuck.
