Doctors Call For "Fat Tax"
All hail the nanny state!
Doctors will this week declare war on America's soft drinks industry by calling for a 'fat tax' to combat the nation's obesity epidemic.
Delegates at the powerful American Medical Association's annual conference will demand a levy on the sweeteners put in sugary drinks to pay for a massive public health education campaign.
As one reader of the article commented, "I assume that this means I'll be receiving a tax credit for drinking diet soda. Hooray for the Nanny State!"
Next, we'll have podiatrists demanding that a higher tax be levied against high heels.

That doesn't surprise me in the least. Next up is the "ugly" tax. Start taxing the heck out of all of those who seek plastic surgery.

Want to bet this was not only endorsed by Democrats... but by Republicans?
