Truckers Plan Protest Over Mexican Trucks
Once again, President Bush is telling Americans to piss off by going ahead with a program that allows Mexican trucks to move freely through our country.
American truckers plan to fight back:
The plan calls for drivers to form a slow-moving line across major highways outlying Washington, D.C. and the state capitals of the lower 48 states.
"We want to circle the White House and the state capitals in a slow-rolling boycott," Piety explained. "As long as we keep moving, the trucks won't be ticketed. The truckers plan to drive the slowest minimum speed allowed by the law, running bumper-to-bumper and side-by-side across the highways to block up and jam up traffic."
Bush has committed our troops and tax dollars to the "war of terror" and yet left our borders wide open.

That is the fact that many of the American truckers are going to go south of the border. they can go very easily over there. WHY? This is because Americans have many of the trucking companies in HUGE % in Mexico. As for Mexican drivers coming up here I believe that will also be short lived as they won't be able to afford to make it a regular trip.
The people working at this site are really different from all other recruiting sites. I am very much sure about this. If you want to get Services division which provides transportation and logistics services to customers "Trucking"

I hate to say it, but this protest isn't going to happen. As a veteran of 11 years out on the nations highway system(that was my time driving, however I have spent most of my life in the industry) tranporting perishable commodities to Canada, the lower 48 and the border towns of Mexico I see smoke being blown up someones skirt. This is probably something OOIDA has announced to try to gain notoriety. All things being equal not very many American truckers are going to go south of the border. WHY? because american owned trucking companies already own a HUGE % of the trucking companies in Mexico. As for Mexican drivers coming up here I believe that will also be short lived as they won't be able to afford to make it a regular trip.

Actually, U.S. trucks were just allowed into Mexico under the same pilot program that allows Mexican trucks into the U.S.

I do not disagree with the truckers (i.e., safety of the rigs; proper training of the drivers), but as it is right now American truckers are allowed to carry freight into Mexico, so perhaps that should be stopped before the truckers protest.
